Bupa NZ

P3D’s relationship with Bupa began in early 2017 when they approached us to showcase apartments within their new Auckland and Cambridge retirement villages.

Bupa employs 86,000 people worldwide, and as of 2019 have 48 Retirement Villages across New Zealand. In March 2019, Bupa asked us to shoot apartments across eight locations in order to promote the new villages.

P3D’s solution was to use RealSCAN (powered by Matterport) to capture these spaces. The benefit of using this infrared camera is that it enables us to scan the interiors, providing the end user with a unique 3D dolls house view, floor plan and a virtual tour so detailed, the viewer can explore every nook and cranny, fixture and fitting.

These RealSCAN’s are now live on the Bupa website, providing potential residents and their families with the ability to explore the apartments from the comfort of home, which is of particular relevance to an audience who may well have limited mobility. To widen the reach, we have also converted the imagery to make it accessible via Google Street View, maximum bang for the Bupa buck!
